Planning Minutes from Saturday’s Admin. Council Meeting
Jun 27th, 2006 | By Tom Johnson | Category: NewsFor those of you who missed the administrative council planning meeting (which took place last Saturday, June 24), Kelly Shrank — the chapter secretary — has taken some excellent notes. See the following link to read these notes: Admin Council Minutes. If you have comments or suggestions about the meeting, use the Comment feature below or send me an email (thj@tampabay.rr.com). One of the STC documents we reviewed (which is mentioned in the minutes) is the list of requirements for the chapter of merit, excellence, and distinction.
Sounds like you all did a lot of creative thinking with a solid undertone of optimism. I’m glad!
Just one note of practicality: sometimes we’re pretty full on regular meetings, so make sure there’s an option for a bigger room for the October meeting if you’re planning to attract more people than usual.
Hmmm, do you have any idea how we would get a bigger room? Have we run out of space in the past?
I don’t know that we’ve actually run out, but we’ve been pretty tight. After I wrote, I thought some more - maybe we could do the membership meeting without tables (audience/general assembly, not schoolroom). That would allow for a lot more people in the same space. And that’s something that could be decided at pretty much the last minute based on RSVPs. Sound OK?
