Grantwriters, Members of Other Organizations

Apr 16th, 2008 | By Kristi Leach | Category: Discussion

Hi all, I have a couple questions.

1. Do any grantwriters or recent students have copies of these books? I’m having some trouble finding them in my local libraries.

Foundation Grants to Individuals
The Foundation Center
79 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10003-3076
The Foundation Center’s Guide to Proposal Writing
The Foundation Center
79 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10003-3076
Program Planning and Proposal Writing
The Grantsmanship Center
Dept. DD
P.O. Box 17220
Los Angeles, CA 90017

2. Are you a member of a community or business organization that might contribute towards sending a technical communicator to China for the People to People Citizen Ambassador trip? This would be in exchange for a presentation or article by the t.c. upon his or her return. If you have any ideas, please share. Thanks!

  1. 1. I took this book:

The Foundation Center’s Guide to Proposal Writing
    The Foundation Center
    79 Fifth Avenue

out of the Pinellas County Library branch on 9th Ave North (at about 40th Street) just a few months ago, having just been turned down for a proposal writing job with a non-profit that I thought I’d like. I returned it to the Gulfport branch, so it should be in either one.

    2. I would be happy to make a trip to China and write and/or present any sort of paper on return, whether formal or informal. If you would like samples of either, please request.

    Cheers,

    Dan Berman

  2. Dan,

Great, thanks. I will look for it through the Pinellas Co. libraries.
Do you have information about the People to People trip? If not, here is a link:http://www.citizenambassadors.org/upcomingprograms/science_tech/oestreich-linda_10-2008.asp

Do you have any organizations in mind that might do a trade with you; funds for a paper or presentation? I am going to start looking into that this week, but I would love suggestions.

    Kristi
