eLearning Instructional Designer–Tampa, FL for RedVector

This person will join the Content Development Department and be responsible for designing interactive online courses, wearing many hats, including writer, editor, designer, and project manager. Ideal candidates will be passionate and energetic self-starters, highly motivated, hard working and have 3+ years of successful experience in the elearning industry. Responsibilities:
• Design and develop eLearning courses using sound instructional design techniques
• Analyze, evaluate and rebuild available training content
• Investigate sources for developing course content
• Work with internal and external clients on needs assesment
• Project management of large stake projects including requirement gathering, creating schedules, coordinating team members and product launch
• Independently design, develop and program course content using judgment regarding important features, layout, length, etc
• Content research and writing
• Subject matter expert communication and guidance
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to increase the quality and effectiveness of eLearning course content, presentation and delivery based on user feedback and industry research in the areas of adult learning methodology and the delivery of web based training.
Experience and Skills:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology/Media, Training and Development or relevant field
• Formal training in Instructional Design and adult learning theory
• 3 - 5 years experience in designing and developing adult learning programs
• Program design and development experience in a rapid development environment preferred
• Experience in project management of elearning initiatives; working with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient with elearning and design tools: Lectora, Captivate, Flash, Photoshop, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated web writing skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
• Familiarity with graphical design elements appropriate for online instruction
• Work independently as well as collaboratively
• Fun, entrepreneurial spirit
